About

Hi! I’m Kaia. I’m 18 years old and a full-time student who’s currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in marketing. Ever since I could remember, I have been fascinated with capturing the beauty of the world around me through art. I started creating work more seriously when I was 10 and have experimented with every medium i could get my hands on. My favorite mediums are acrylic and graphite because I can play with how to mix colors accurately and explore shading, value and shadow. I specifically love portraiture, as there is so much to discover when capturing the nuances of human expression, of life, and of joy.

I love traveling and I love art! I was born in Honolulu Hawaii and have had the blessing of growing up in sunny Scottsdale, Arizona. I have been lucky enough to see many parts of the world and have found inspiration in the cultures, history, people and art of Hawaii, Paris, Spain, Portugal and Germany. I am so grateful for all of my mentors over the years who have helped me to understand what it means to be an artist: my teachers at Notre Dame Preparatory High School and the University of Florida, instructors at Creative Color Art Studios and professors at the Interlochen Center for the Arts, where I was accepted for the Summer Visual Arts program.

As I move into this next chapter of my life in college, my intention is to blend my interest in Marketing and Entrepreneurship with my passion for the visual arts to produce creatively compelling and engaging content.

If you’re interested in a commissioned piece, I’d love to hear from you!
